Disney by Annie

My ultimate favorite photographer, Annie Leibovitz, has collaborated with Disney for an ad campaign featuring celebrities as Disney classic characters. The first images were released back in October of 2007. Stunning images. As always, Annie has created works of art.

GQ - The New "it" Boy

GQ is one of my favorite magazines and I read it religiously. Honestly, I wasn’t to exited to see Robert Pattinson on the cover of the April issue, I’m just kind of over the whole Twilight thing. But I really like the photographs, shoot by Nathaniel Goldberg, and the article is not too bad. For more go to GQ.com

Book - Another Man's War...

...The True Story of One Man's Battle to Save Children in the Sudan

The rise of Sam Childers from violent, drug-addicted biker to a man willing to risk everything to rescue the orphans and child soldiers of Sudan

"All my life, from birth, it's been a fight. And it always seemed to be another man's war. I always seemed to be fighting for someone else. But it always came back to me. The Word says we're born into sin, and sin always comes back to war." -Sam Childers

Sam Childers has always been a fighter. Born to a violent father and a mother of great faith, his life was a contradiction. With an affinity for drugs and women, the angry young man grew into a drug-dealing biker. But that was then. Nowadays Sam-along with the cadre of Sudanese soldiers he employs-spends his time in the most dangerous parts of Sudan and Uganda rescuing the youngest victims of war, orphans and child-soldiers. His mission is simple: save the children, no matter the cost.

Filmmaker, Cary Joji Fukunaga’s first feature, Sin Nombre, and executively produced by Mexico’s Gael Garcia Bernal & Diego Luna, tells an epic story of Central American immigrants seeking the American Dream. An emotional journey to the promise land, by a teenager from Honduras, Sayra (Paulina Gaitan), against the backdrops of Mexico’s countryside.

Winner of two 2009 Sundance Film Festival awards, the film was written and directed by Student Academy Award winner Cary Joji Fukunaga.

The END of comic BOOKS?

Could the end be near for the colorful comic BOOKS? Have they finally met their match? According to industry insiders, the increase of technologically savvy devices, such as its current nemesis...Amazon’s Kindle, could potentially bring the comic book era to an end!

With the Kindle rapidly increasing, they may soon add comic books to its list, making paper-based graphic novels a thing of the pass. The developing of similar devices, Apple is rumored to be releasing its own version of the Kindle, will introduce new villains to the battlefield.

Would the comic books have enough power to fight back and continue to thrive? I guess well just have to wait and see!

From Springfiled to Paris!

“The Simpsons go to Paris with Linda Evangelista” Illustrations by Julius Preite

Recently, thanks to creative pages of Harper’s Bazaar (August 2007), The Simpsons visited Paris. On their chic adventure, along famed-supermodel Linda Evangelista, they took time to stop by and catch up with some of the world’s greatest fashion Designers; Versace, Chanel, Lanvin, Louis Vuitoon, Gaultier and Victor & Rolfe. By far, one of the best magazine spreads!

Photography: Color or Black/White??

This is the very first time I ever experimented taking close-ups of any objects. The rose belonged to my mother. She had a row of many different flowers on her front yard. I really liked the softness of the image, both in color and in black and white.

iPod Mix - Song of the Week

Age of Consent by New Order

I first came across this song when I watched the preview to Coppola’s Marie Antoinette. The song fits the film perfectly. By far, one of my all-time favorite songs and one of my iPod’s most played songs this week. Check it out, you’ll love it!

Age of Consent:

Won't you please let me go
These words lie inside they hurt me so
And I'm not the kind that likes to tell you
Just what I want to do
I'm not the kind that needs to tell you
Just what you want me to

I saw you this morning
I thought that you might like to know
I received your message in full a few days ago
I understood every word that it said
And now that I've actually heard it
You're going to regret
And I'm not the kind that likes to tell you
Just what you want me to
You're not the kind that needs to tell me
About the birds and the bees

Do you find this happens all the time
Crucial point one day becomes a crime
And I'm not the kind that likes to tell you
Just what I want to do
I'm not the kind that needs to tell you

I've lost you, I've lost you, I've lost you
