This is a picture of a plant near the pool of my previous house. I really like the contracts between the two colors and I love that you can’t really tell the background is a pool. (2007).

...Before the Storm

This picture was taken on a cloudy February afternoon. I really like the sadness and calmness; it’s the calm before the storm. Oceanside C.A. (Feb. 2009).

Tree at Sunset

I have this obsession with trees, I just love them. I love how big, tall and unique they can be. How they change colors depending on the season and how some grow flowers and others fruit. I specially love the different silhouettes they can create at sunrise/sunset. More tree pictures to come. (Point Loma - SD - Dec. 2008).

Photography - MIA

These two photographs are what started it all. This is MIA, my two year old Chihuahua-mix. I took her outside our front yard on a summer afternoon. I brought my camera outside and started snapping pictures, following her around. She started to chase a bug, then she stretch and rolled around the grass, and just seconds before she took up running I was able to snap one of my favorite and so-far, my best picture. I would have never been able to get her to pose like this for me.

Disney by Annie

My ultimate favorite photographer, Annie Leibovitz, has collaborated with Disney for an ad campaign featuring celebrities as Disney classic characters. The first images were released back in October of 2007. Stunning images. As always, Annie has created works of art.

GQ is one of my favorite magazines and I read it religiously. Honestly, I wasn’t to exited to see Robert Pattinson on the cover of the April issue, I’m just kind of over the whole Twilight thing. Filmmaker, Cary Joji Fukunaga’s first feature, Sin Nombre, and executively produced by Mexico’s Gael Garcia Bernal & Diego Luna, tells an epic story of Central American immigrants seeking the American Dream. An emotional journey to the promise land, by a teenager from Honduras, Sayra (Paulina Gaitan), against the backdrops of Mexico’s countryside.

Winner of two 2009 Sundance Film Festival awards, the film was written and directed by Student Academy Award winner Cary Joji Fukunaga.
